OK, that was fun.  I probably ate too much, and slept too little, but there were several highlights that linger in my mind.

At the top of the list are the [livejournal.com profile] hotchixwbooks : [livejournal.com profile] ktpinto , [livejournal.com profile] saraphina_marie ,[livejournal.com profile] shadesong , and [livejournal.com profile] terri_osborne , for excellent company, unsolicited hugs, and "88 Lines about 44 Fangirls" (© [livejournal.com profile] slipjig ).   You made me feel welcome, and that's important to me.

Next comes my fellow panelists, including [livejournal.com profile] auntiemame67 , [livejournal.com profile] jducoeur , and [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom , for making my panels a lot of fun.  Those who aren't on LJ, or who's ID's I don't know?  You were great too. (Except for the moderator who no-showed on Monday's panel.  *sigh*)

Oh, and if you ever need an evil minon, KT, come look me up. :)

As for the various people who stopped me to chat, take my picture, or entice me to volunteer as a panelist at other cons:  Thanks for making me feel like someone. :D

Oh, and for the only two other people who'll get this:

"All hail the monkey!" *clang*

Now, to catch up on all my books....

What with all the steampunk panels I was on at Arisia, plus the Ball, I had a lot of reason to think about Steampunk, as well as The Book.

One stray thought deserves to be enshrined in semi-permanent form:

Steampunk vs Cyberpunk is really all about Pirates vs Ninjas.

Think about it.  Pirates are romantic, adventurous, and wear retro clothing.  So is Steampunk (it even has airship pirates!)

Meanwhile, Ninjas are cool, mysterious, and wear mostly black with metal bits.  And a lot of cyberpunk uses teched up ninjas...

Of course, now that I've made the claim, someone will dig up a steampunk ninja :D
