bewareofgeekWhat with all the steampunk panels I was on at Arisia, plus the Ball, I had a lot of reason to think about Steampunk, as well as The Book.
One stray thought deserves to be enshrined in semi-permanent form:
Steampunk vs Cyberpunk is really all about Pirates vs Ninjas.
Think about it. Pirates are romantic, adventurous, and wear retro clothing. So is Steampunk (it even has airship pirates!)
Meanwhile, Ninjas are cool, mysterious, and wear mostly black with metal bits. And a lot of cyberpunk uses teched up ninjas...
Of course, now that I've made the claim, someone will dig up a steampunk ninja :D
