Salutations!

Due to my recent sojurn into the wilds of western Massachusetts, and a subsequent bout of friending, I have several new correspondents reading this. As the circumstances of our conversations left little time for biography, it behooves me to properly introduce myself.
Hope I haven't scared anyone off. :D
My name is Mario di Giacomo, and at almost 39 years of age, I have acheived a certain facility with the electromechanical devices called "computers", sufficient enough to earn gainful employment with my "mad skills", as they say.
I have also been wandering the aetheric realm called the "Internet" for over 20 years. In that time I have filled many roles, from reviewer, to columnist, to moderator of several discussion fora. I've even turned my hand at scientific romance, although not with any great acclaim.
I also talk normally, most of the time. :)
Nowadays, I am a Sanity Assassin, a devotee of the works of Terry Pratchett, Jim Butcher, and Fred Perry, and a hopeful minion of Agatha Heterodyne. The last has piqued my interest in steampunk, which is what I've been putting most of my fannish energy into (having abandoned various other subfandoms). Hence, most of my recent fanacs have been moderating steampunk-related panels, which brings us full circle.
