Look; am *I* to blame for the fact that you're so well-liked? That you stockpile friends like stars in the sky? It's the law of averages, kid; you have so many friends, some of them are gonna get crapped on now and again by Life. 'Cause, y'know, into every life a little shitrain must fall.
And what; I'm supposed to drop all this Being that I'm busy doing and make sure to check that every time something bad's about to happen to someone, it's not someone who's friends with that Mario fella? CaMANN. As if I'm not doing enough as it is.
You gotta understand--this is why I created people like YOU. You're the Good Guy's supposed to be a buddy, a pal, a shoulder to lean on. You're they guy to offer support when these things happen. I hold up MY end of the job; you do yours and leave me out of it, 'kay?
