I saw this last night, and while my memories are fresh, I wanted to get my thoughts down:
Spoilers within... )
In general, while it didn't grab me as quickly as The Middleman did, it's probably worth watching another episode or two.

I've been given another panel on Friday at 5PM   "SF Before 1939", with [livejournal.com profile] kradical  and some other folks.

Because all the hot kids are doing it. ;)

Friday, 9PM
Hunting the Forest Spirit: Mythological Anime. I'm not sure who my fellow panelists are, but these are two of my favorite topics, so the combination should be a lot of fun.

Saturday, 11 AM
Steampunk 101. With Vikki, and Sara, and Pixel, and Jess (who I don't know, but I'm sure is cool). I'm moderating this one, and I may even bring handouts. :)

Because the world needs more happiness
  • It's Friday!
  • Internal organs:  Behaving.
  • Today's XKCD, especially since I had to explain it to a co-worker :)
  • New Faction Paradox audio (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mikescomics )
  • Unread Dresden Files novel on my nightstand.
Hope your day has some happiness too....

I really need to start writing again, before I completely forget how.  I'm not sure if I'll pick up the essentially idle book about steampunk, or dive back into fiction.  Either way, I'm going to have to force myself to keep doing it.  That's been my biggest hurdle.  Not so much writer's block, as writer's apathy.

On a more positive note, I've made my reservations for 4π-Con (hotel & registration) so I have that to look forward to.  And I've reason to make a day trip up to ReaderCon as well, now (Hi, Mari!).  I'm still pondering what to do in the fall, especially with the big 0x28 coming up

Ah well, there are worse decisions to make..

01. Anyone who looks at this entry has to post this meme and their current wallpaper at their LiveJournal.

This.

02. Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper!

- It fits my laptop resolution.
- It's steampunk.
- I like steampunk (duh)
- It's also really cool-looking.
- It's restful to my eyes.

03. Don't change your wallpaper before doing this! The point is to see what you had on!

I've had this for a few months now.

Saw this today, and have a few thoughts.
...La Resistance lives on! )

That being said, there was sufficient 'splode, and I want a couple Moto-Terminators for my birthday.

  • 22:52 Totally confused by Galactica. Did Grant Morrison write this? #
  • 23:09 Maybe he did: "And So We Return and Begin Again". :) #
  • 08:16 @meowwcat Sorry. I'll vent later. :) #
  • 08:18 @davidalexanderm Might as well. I only ever saw two episodes of the show (the first and the last), and _I'm_ gonna weigh in later. #

I am:
Philip José Farmer
This prolific author brings surprising depths to he-man adventure tales, and broke science fiction's prudery barrier.

Which science fiction writer are you?

If I tweak one answer, I get Hal Clement, which is equally cool.

No more needs to be said.
