A pic from 3PiCon...

Because I forgot to do it earlier, and [livejournal.com profile] chattycatsmeow  is getting into Steampunk

The fellow in the middle described his outfit as "Captain Nemo goes clubbing" :)

Nemo goes clubbing - Heee!!! There were a few steampunk costumes with bits of Eastern influence on them. I only took a photo of that small group of four, but there were over a dozen of them there.

There's really a whole continuum of styles, ranging from purely period costumes to "Goths with Goggles". I like to think it's more about attitude than accuracy. ;)

Well, good because I have LOTS of attitude. :D

Now to work on putting together a costume for next year...

If I invest in period clothing for myself from said emporium, I plan to only purchase men's clothing.

Since I'm a sweet transvestite, and all that.

In all fairness, the only differences between the women's vests and the mens seem to be the fit and the button side. :)
