Daily Dispatch

Went into Boston today to meet my friend Margaret (a.k.a. cerebusfangirl).  Our first stop was at Comicopia, which is still probably the best store for trades in the NE.  Bought three collections:

1. Girl Genius Omnibus, which is unfortunately in black & white, but I wanted it anyway.
2. The Welcome to the Jungle HC, collecting the recent Dresden Files mini.  I'm normally not a hardcover buyer, but Jim Butcher gets a LOT of my money, and gladly.
3. The Middleman, collecting the three minis that inspired the TV show.

After that was sushi at a new place (for us) called Fin.  Good miso, great sushi, and they put real whipped cream on the ginger ice cream!
(Didn't need the chocolate drizzle, but I wasn't complaining)

We finished up with a walk down Commonwealth Mall to the Boston Common.  Looking at the map, it must have been abot two miles.  Unlike my last trip there (with the inimitable mariness ) there were no pumpkins.   Lovely day, though... the rain held off until the drive home.

I feel so relaxed....
