I'm more than likely screwed...

Rumors are flying around the office like mad that our particular function (the Data Center) is being shut down, with the associated job functions being folded into another project.

Funding will be slashed. People will be shuffled around. And fellow employees who actually have real desks and telephones are worried about their jobs.

This does not look good for the home team. Especially since I exist in a nebulous "part of the team but not really" Phantom Zone-esque halfway state. The way I see it, this is all the excuse they need to "furlough" my butt.

So I'm not gonna wait. Sunday, resumes start flying.
