Pop Quiz:
Name three ongoing Western comic books where the same person has been doing both the writing and the art for over 15 years.
Most people know of Savage Dragon (160 issues, including various minis). And only slightly fewer may recall Usagi Yojimbo (about 175 issues, including specials),
But there's a third case. Tomorrow afternoon, the #100th issue of Gold Digger v2 will hit the stands. That's 100 issues written, drawn, and colored by one man, Fred Perry. He also wrote and penciled 50 issues of vol 1, the initial 4 issue miniseries, three additional minis, a nd a crossover with Ninja High School.
All by himself.
Oh, and did I mention he's hand-animated two episodes of an OAV adaptations of the original story, with a third in progress?
