Meanwhile, back at the office...
Things are weirder than ever. One person wants me to take on more responsibility, while another seems hell-bent on keeping me in occupational limbo, thereby preventing me from getting official status on the project, and certain fringe benefits (like a real desk, a key to the offiice, and an actual phone).
I _think_ things are drifting into a state that could work out well for me, but I can't be sure.
About the only thing I've done right recently is shaved off my beard...I haven't heard a negative reaction yet (and that includes a comment from a supervisor. Not my supervisor, but he's a bloody lame duck anyway).
